Kevin is an Intern at Rojas AP who supports Project Managers with a variety of drafting and technical tasks. Since joining the firm in 2024, he has contributed to project sets by redlining, preparing GC and PL drawings, documenting existing conditions, and assisting with PAA submissions. He has also gained field experience assisting with Tenant Protection Plan (TPP) inspections, further broadening his understanding of New York City’s construction requirements. His willingness to take on diverse responsibilities has made him an adaptable and reliable member of the team.

Kevin’s architectural journey began at Thomas A. Edison CTE High School in Queens, where he started with hand drafting and advanced to AutoCAD, ultimately setting him on a path toward design. He recently graduated with his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the New York City College of Technology, completing the rigorous five-year program in May 2025. His studies provided him with a strong foundation in architectural technology, design, and planning, preparing him for the professional challenges of the field.

While in school, Kevin participated in academic projects that reflect his interest in sustainability and community-driven design. The Lace Hotel, inspired by New York sneaker culture, proposed an adaptive reuse of the New York State Pavilion into a boutique hotel, emphasizing preservation and reuse as alternatives to new construction. Another project, The Interlock, explored affordable housing along the border of Brooklyn Heights and Downtown Brooklyn, using massing and façade articulation to reflect community unity and growth. Both projects underscored his passion for creating architecture that addresses social and cultural needs while remaining functional and forward-thinking.

Outside of academics and professional work, Kevin remains deeply engaged with his community. He volunteers at Jamaica Church of God, where he is active in the Media and Kids Ministry teams and serves as a Sunday Bible School Assistant. Bilingual in English and Spanish, he values connecting with diverse groups and hopes to carry that same inclusive perspective into his architectural practice.

Kevin is eager to continue growing his skills in architectural design and technology while contributing to meaningful projects that improve quality of life in New York City. With technical proficiency in Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite, paired with a strong sense of community connection, he is a promising young professional whose dedication and perspective enrich the Rojas AP team.
