Christopher is a Senior Project Designer and Licensed Architect with more than fourteen years of experience leading design-driven, sustainability-focused projects across diverse scales and contexts. Over the course of his career, he has helped shape spaces that prioritize both performance and meaning, from community-focused interiors to large-scale international developments. His portfolio spans mixed-use, master planning, interiors, and landscape design, always guided by his commitment to environmental responsibility, design integrity, and the mentorship of emerging professionals.
Christopher’s path into architecture began with a Bachelor of Design and a Minor in Economics from the University of Florida, followed by a Master of Architecture at Columbia University. Early in his career, he worked on institutional and educational projects in Washington, D.C., before attending Columbia University for his masters and as a Teaching Assistant and supervisor. There, he managed the design and construction of an international cultural pavilion in Finland and helped shape the next generation of architects through coursework and hands-on instruction. His dedication to mentorship later expanded to the AIA Center for Architecture, where he instructed ARE preparation classes and supported junior architects in achieving licensure.
From 2011 to 2022, Christopher served as Senior Associate Principal at Laguarda.Low, where he led design teams on large-scale retail and commercial interior projects worldwide. He implemented sustainable design strategies and secured LEED certifications. In addition to his design leadership, he mentored junior architects, improving skill levels and project contributions, while also co-leading the firm’s NCARB IDP initiative. His work took him across Mexico, France, Kosovo, China, and Japan, and more locally in New York City where he combined technical expertise with a passion for cross-cultural collaboration.
Christopher now brings this breadth of knowledge and leadership to Rojas AP, where he provides guidance in design review, project execution, and staff mentorship. He views each project as an opportunity to foster meaningful collaboration, creating sustainable solutions that serve both clients and communities. Beyond his role at the firm, he is the Founder and Principal of Design Insight LLC, specializing in consulting, design, and property development, and he also holds a New York State Home Inspector’s License.
A New York–based professional, Christopher continues to explore the role of architecture in shaping urban landscapes and improving quality of life. His dedication to sustainability, mentorship, and design excellence makes him a valued member of the Rojas AP team.
